Your first fresh rhizome need not be reserved for sushi. Start with a small tasting alongside a cooked meat dish.

Keep the sauce separate

Our tasting idea is to compare a plain cooked bite, a bite with a little wasabi and one with your usual sauce. Record seasoning changes so you know what you actually compared.

Begin with a small side portion

The Japan Wasabi Association includes beef steak among its serving suggestions. Begin with a small separate portion. Wasabi does not replace appropriate cooking and food-safety practices.

Describe the service clearly

For a menu trial, explain that fresh wasabi is served on the side. Only name an origin you can verify for the actual delivery. Prepare one accurate sentence that the service team can use consistently.
